soft rotation #15
soft rotation is a concert series dedicated to sound art, performance and experimental electronic music. Organized collectively by sound enthusiasts, our concerts are built around the idea of rotation, mixing perspectives, mediums and voices in each edition. We offer a platform for audiences and artists who share our commitment to exploration, where experimentation and try-out ideas are encouraged, and the unexpected is welcomed.
We invite you to join us, hang out, and talk with the artists, exchanging knowledge and ideas following each concert.

Last Days of Burden:
LAST DAYS OF BURDEN aka L.D.o.B. is an experimental music project and vessel for esoteric exploration by M.CSR. The project was founded in 2023 and is currently based in Essen, Germany, embedded in the recently emerging INDUSTRIAL NRW scene. LAST DAYS OF BURDEN has released two EPs and one full-length album: Mandrake Dreams (2023), Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin (2024) and Black Ocean Beyond Time (2025), as well as various feature tracks with artists such as StammtischFlutwelle and Anton Köther. The project is focused on the craft of cinematic, hypnotic and illuminative soundscapes, inspired by cosmic music, post-industrial, drone and ritual ambient. It could be classified as experimental electronica in the broader sense, diving deep into funeral aesthetics with recurring themes of transience, transformation and gnostic motifs. With the upcoming album Earthless Soil, which is expected to drop in late October 2026, Last Days of Burden will be embracing a more energetic sound, leaning stronger into sequencers, analog noise, and sidereal production techniques.

Mario De Vega:
Mario de Vega works across installation, durational performance, and spatial intervention,
employing vibratory phenomena as a medium to activate sensory perception.
Images, audio recordings, video, and material traces operate not simply as documentation, but as extensions of ephemeral situations and site-specific events, constituting an autonomous body of work that translates experiences into modes of representation. Alongside his artistic practice, he is Professor of Sound at the Kunsthochschule Kassel.
